We visited South Downs Car Sales looking for a Toyota Auris that had been advertised in Autotrader.
We spoke to Jan who was very friendly and helpful. When we said we would have a think and let him know he gave us no pressure.
We came back at the weekend and whilst my husband took it for a test drive one of the other sales person was really nice and polite. He told my daughter she could play with the toys in the toy box.
On inspection of the car we did find a leak in the boot. When we spoke to Jan he was very professional and said it would be fixed before we came to pick the car up and if it did reoccur bring the car
back again and they would fix it. We found that response very refreshing. We were very impressed with Jan and will definitely recommend South Downs Car Sales to our family and friends.

Excellent support and aftercare These guys have a good selection of sound cars and patiently spent hours talking us through the various options to find the right car for us and we are delighted with the car we bought. I don't think it was a bargain basement price but it was competitively priced. I get the impression that they focus on sound quality at good prices rather than turn em out cheap approach. This became evident 5 and a half months later (and nearly 10000 miles later) when the cam chain became stretched and needed replacing (£500). The RAC were reluctant to pay up (wear and tear apparently) but South Down cars sorted everything out for us and promised us they would cough up even if RAC wouldn't. How fantastic is that!!! We've now put another few thousand miles on the clock and are extremely happy we bought our car from such a supportive and helpful company.

I just bought my VW Golf from South Downs Car Sales in Hassocks and I found it a really easy and straightforward experience. I normally worry about making such a big decision but Felix really couldn't have helped me more. He wasn't at all pushy, just polite and knowledgeable, and obviously just wanted to make sure that the car I bought was the right one for me. And I'm really pleased to say it is, I'm loving driving it.

I want to share my great experience of buying my Vauxhall Vectra from South Downs Car Sales in Hassocks.
When my previous car failed its MOT I knew I had to buy a replacement, and after scouring the internet I found the Vectra at South Downs Car Sales. Right from the first telephone call I made to them they have been nothing but polite and easy to talk to. I made an appointment to see the car and as I live a fair distance away from them in Hatfield I first put a holding deposit down on it. Upon my arrival I was further impressed by how well presented all their cars are, and by how nice Felix was in dealing with me.
All in all I think this is how all other Car Sales garages should try to be. Friendly and easy to deal with.

Returned to SDCS to buy a second car, a basement-level runabout to save the mileage on the superb used Merc they sold me 12 months ago.
